Lady Blogger foundation is a charitable organizations of bloggers who wanted to make a difference in their own simple ways. Are you the other woman?

We can’t always help who we fall for, but we can control our ACTIONS. Here’s my advice to all “other woman” and women to avoid being one.

1. Don’t take the bait! Even when he’s crossing the line between friendship and potential love, don’t let it get out of hand. You can’t control his actions but you can control yours. Resist believing his empty promises. The lines he feeds you are just that — Lines. Until he’s really done with his girl, there’s no you and him. Some guys just liked the thrill of flirting with another girl.

2. Demystify his personality. Are you putting him on a pedestal? If he’s your image of Mr. Perfect, it’s time to shatter the glass and see him for who he really is. Stop fixating on his good qualities and see him as an entire individual. Do not sell yourself short.

3. Find new people to hang out with. If you’re falling even harder because you’re always together if not always communicating. The solution is to move away and mean it. Don’t think of it as avoiding him. Think of it as exploring new worlds. Spend time with people who will keep your mind occupied and before you know it, he’s totally out of your system.

4. Confide in someone brutally honest. Sometimes it takes a hard shaking to get the feelings out of your system. I’m not saying you should set yourself up for a verbal battery, but talk t someone who will give you an honest feedback, Somebody elder than you or a mentor like priest or counselor. If you have a best-friend who loves you but know that will not tolerate you the better. Real friends are not afraid to crush you in order to save you.

5. Open yourself to dating. Find a new love interest. Don’t wait for someone who might never be yours and pick well. If somebody cheats with you, he will cheat on you too so why would you risk? Being single is better than being with a guy who’s already taken.

Ask for divine intervention too and raise your standards high. Every girl deserve no less than true love.

Serenity prayer

I am guilty of over-thinking so many things that often leads me to my stress and anxieties. Today I am sharing to you one of my favorite prayer in times of uncertainty and stress. It’s a powerful prayer for guidance and serenity. It is authored by the American theologian Reinhold Nieburh, here it goes:

 

“God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.”
Amen.

Anxiety Disorder and Depression

“You have to be at the receiving end of pain for you to understand how pain works.”

Most people try to be logical in dealing with depression but end up worsening it. Simply because you cannot just cure it mentally
(although ironically it is said to be a mental problem). Most sufferers deal with it alone because they feel like no one would understand them. I too, was diagnosed with anxiety disorder and I feel worse whenever people would try to analyze it for me. As if they know my illness better than me. Some would even play “psychologist”. It just doesn’t work that way that’s why most people with anxiety just resort to denying and not accepting their condition. Therefore, denying themselves to be diagnosed and treated.

Depression is not a choice, it’s not a case of snapping out of it or pulling yourself together. People who has never been clinically depressed should stop being so definitive about it and accept that it’s a complex condition. The reason why you’ve been able to snap out of it is because it’s not depression but merely sadness. Depression is a medical condition and not just a “state of mind” and it needs to be treated right away. It’s a serious condition when left untreated and it could lead to death. Maybe if more people could keep an open mind on this and be less judgmental of anxiety sufferers, suicide cases maybe lessened.

Novena to St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina

“In my previous post, I’ve shared how the intercession of St. Pio helped me get through my dark days. So I thought of sharing the novena prayer of St. Pio. I usually pray this with the “Efficacious  novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus” and holy rosary. Here is the novena prayer”

O St. Pio, I come to you today knowing that you are truly a miracle worker. As one who is close to Jesus, I ask that you would pray for these my intentions:

(State your intentions here)

I pray with the words of Pope John Paul II as I beg for your prayers on my behalf:

“Glorious, humble and beloved Padre Pio. Teach us, we pray, humility of heart, so that we may be counted among the little ones of the Gospel to whom the Father promised to reveal the mysteries of His Kingdom. Help us to pray without ceasing, certain that God knows what we need even before we ask Him.

“Obtain for us the eyes of faith that will help us recognize in the poor and suffering, the very face of Jesus.

“Sustain us in the hour of trouble and trial and, if we fall, let us experience the joy of the sacrament of forgiveness. Grant us your tender devotion to Mary, mother of Jesus and our Mother.

“Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage toward the blessed Homeland, where we too, hope to arrive to contemplate forever the Glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

Amen

In closing, St. Pio, we pray the prayer you composed for Confidence and Trust in God’s Mercy:

“O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence and trust in Your divine mercy, and the courage to accept the crosses and sufferings which bring immense goodness to our souls and that of Your Church.

Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart, and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross, as we climb the mountain of holiness, carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory.

May we receive You with great faith and love in Holy Communion, and allow You to act in us as You desire for your greater glory.

O Jesus, most adorable Heart and eternal fountain of Divine Love, may our prayer find favor before the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father.”

Amen.

All glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Today I dreamt of Padre Pio and took it a sign to share this. I’ve been a devotee for over a year now and I can attest to the powerful intercession of St Pio and the holy rosary in my novenas. I have received some personal favors, comfort, encouragements and guidance after every novena. I have shared some of these moments to my friends and believe me its miraculous. You’ll never know until you try and experience it. I give all glory to all powerful and all loving God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Padre Pio. Amen
