Mommybuysph – Christmas gifts for less

Christmas season is fast approaching and so is the season for gift giving too 🙂 Although not necessary, Gift giving serves as an act of love to our “inaanak” and loved ones this holiday. More than the material benefit, I see it as a good way to let them know that they are remembered and special. One doesn’t need to go broke this Christmas on spending too expensive gifts. As they say, it’s the thought that counts and Gifts are merely token of love and appreciation. So hunt according to your budget and your recipient’s needs and preference.

I just started to list down my Christmas gifts when I saw Mommybuysph stall in Acacia estates bazaar weeks ago. They have RTW clothing for kids for only Php 400 or less. Being a mom, I prefer clothes and other essentials things over toys because they are more practical and economical too. That is why I bought a bunch of hooded blankets priced from 150-200 each from Mommybuysph.  –They are an affordable (and within my budget 😉 ) cute gifts for babies and kids less than 2 years old. I also bought Frozen themed pajamas and dresses for Chaeli for less than Php 200! They also have cute tutu dresses for toddlers and pre-schoolers but sadly most of the sizes available then are too big for Chaeli.

Cute characters hooded towel/blanket for babies 🙂

FYI. Most of their items are easily sold out so don’t wait further and Check out their items in her instagram account – Mommybuysph.

Hong Kong Itinerary

As I mentioned in my previous post here, We will be celebrating Chase’s 7th birthday in Hong Kong this year. I started planning this about a month ago and we are all excited already! Since this is my husband 2nd and my 3rd time in Hong Kong, we decided to forego tour packages that travel agencies offers and just make our own tour itinerary. I’m gonna share this to you here 🙂

We are staying in a three star hotel at Jordan road and staying for 4 days and 3 nights on the first week of December:

First thing first, here’s a list of documents that I shouldn’t forget.

  • Passport
Birth certificate (just in case Immigration doubts our parental status to Chase & Chaeli 😉
Proof of Identification and VL report (For PH immigration)
    Printed copy of plane tickets
    Printed Hotel Booking

Day 1 : ETA in HKIA is 12noon, Since We haven’t been to Ngong Ping and HKIA is just 20 minutes away or less from NgongPing and City gate, my plan was to go straight there after checking out and go to TST to get my reserved discounted tickets in GC. (GC offers the lowest tickets to Disneyland, The peak and Ocean Park)

Plan A: Ngong Ping, Hotel and TST (*buy discounted tickets)
Plan B: Hotel, TST and Avenue of stars

Day 2 : Ocean Park and The peak
Day 3 : Disneyland (Chase’s birthday!)
Day 4 : Our return flight is around 6pm but we need to check out before 12 noon. So I’m thinking of just heading to HKIA earlier than usual and do the strolling/shopping there or if we didn’t accomplish Ngongping on Day 1, we might head straight to City gate.

Plan A: Last minute shopping and HKIA
Plan B: HKIA (early check in) and Ngong Ping 360 then HKIA for return flight

There goes! I hope everything will turn out well for us 🙂 and keep in touch for the next round of updates on this..

Beach Fashion Essentials

August is here and the summer is wending its way towards the end. For those of you who have yet to book that beach trip you’ve been promising yourself or those that just want to sneak in a few more days in the sun, it’s not too late. Here is our list of the ten things you’ll need for your weekend escape. Grab these summer essentials, pack your bags and set sail.

1. Slip-On Sandals
When you’re at the beach, you want sandals that can easily slide off as you walk into the sand and slip back on when we want to head off for a bike ride.

2. Delicate Gold Jewelry
Although it’s hot and you want to wear as little as possible, that doesn’t mean you can’t accessorize. Just keep it simple and light. And how great does gold look with a tan?

3. Denim Cutoffs
Denim shorts are de rigueur for summer. Throw these on over your swimsuit and mosey into town for a day of shopping.

4. One-piece Suit
Nothing says beachside chic like a great maillot.

5. Caftan
Slip it on over your swimsuit and meet friends for sunset cocktails.

6. Beachy Sweater
It may be hot by the water during the day, but as the sun sets, the beach quickly cools down and you’ll be happy to have a cozy but light pullover.

7. Sunnies
An obvious beachside essential!

8. Printed Beach Towel
Ditch your dodgy old towel and upgrade to something far more fun. Why go for the basic boring towel when there are so many delightful options out there?

9. Drapey Summer Top
Easy, breezy and just as perfect with cutoffs as it will be with a maxi skirt for a night out.

10. Beach bag
A great beach bag looks cute but can still carry all of your necessities – a towel, cover-up, sunscreen and even snacks for an afternoon picnic.
